I had a significantly negative experience at this site on 2/5. Despite having a sign at the door saying "no mask, no service" a man came in with no mask, who was then met in the small waiting room by an employee (manager?) with no mask and they engaged in conversation there. I'm 65 years old and have seen a family member hospitalized with COVID, and still unable to walk after 12 weeks of illness/treatment. I know how devastating this illness can be-- 440,000+ already dead in US. Accordingly, I went outside (very cold that day) and waited there for well over an hour, while the maskless customer sat indoors for close to a half hour, and the employee, still unmasked walked through the waiting room, in and out, at least a half dozen times. "Aerosol transmission" is clearly not understood here. When I was called in to check out I spoke to 2 staff (including the unmasked worker), noting that the sign on the door apparently meant nothing, and the unmasked worker tried to assure me that "the flu kills more people", that he didn't see an unmasked customer (I reminded him that he spend a good deal of time talking face to face with him), and that he didn't need a mask because he was behind a plexiglass shield and 6 feet away (again--"aerosol transmission"), though he was walking through the waiting area repeatedly. This was my 1st visit to any Service Street site, encouraged in part by ad and website noting special attention to a safe and sanitized environment. I expect it will also be my last. As a separate issue, my service receipt states that "customer declined" differential service, when no mention was ever made of this service recommendation to me. Very troubling service experience.
